The Padi SCUBA Diving is an exciting and relaxing sport that everybody can enjoy. Sometimes there just isn’t enough time to complete an PADI Open Water Diver course which take between 3 to 4 days.So if that’s true….. Why not come and join us and do the PADI SCUBA Diver course. This is an ideal way to get started on your life as a recreational diver and enjoy the fun and excitement of diving within Pattaya. The PADI SCUBA Diver course with Jomtien Dive Center Pattaya, is full of fun and excitement within the two day course you will receive the basics and an introduction into diving within the warm waters of Pattaya.
This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.
Pattaya has some beautiful easy dive sites with beautiful coral reefs and lots of tropical fish species. Perfect for your first dive experience.
First you will learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of one of our PADI Professionals. You will then make an open water dive, you will practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare you for your adventure.
This is not a scuba certification course but you will learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver while exploring the beautiful underwater world of Pattaya. A quick and easy introduction into what it takes to scuba dive.
During the first day of your course you will be spending the morning in one of our Classrooms with one of our friendly, professional PADI diving instructors, learning all the skills you require to enjoy Scuba diving, There is a small amount of theory that needs to be done first. After lunch, it’s into the pool where you will learn some new and exciting skills under the water, which you will master, to become a proficient scuba diver. Great fun!
Your second day will be aboard the Jerpordee, Jomtien Dive Center’s dedicated dive boat. Relaxing and enjoying the friendly atmosphere, soak up the sun, and jump in with your PADI Instructor for you first two Scuba diving experiences. Upon completion of the 2 Open Water Dives, you will receive your PADI SCUBA Diver certification, which qualifies you to make dives up to a depth of 12meters/40 feet, with a Qualified PADI Dive Professional all around the world. As a certified PADI SCUBA Diver you are also half way through qualifying for your PADI Open Water Diver course, which allows you to complete your course during your next sun soaked vacation.If you are already a certified SCUBA Diver? The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you. Particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification, if that’s your ultimate goal.
PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:
Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities as long as properly supervised.
Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development (eLearning, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving – just the first three of five sections of the Open Water Diver course.
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills – just the first three of five dives of the Open Water Diver course
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore – just two of four dives of the Open Water Diver course.
We provide all the basic scuba gear you will use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator with dive gauge, buoyancy control device, tanks and weights.

You can add photos to your day and have something to show all your friends and family. Make sure to ask in advance or at the dive center in the morning.
To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver course (or Junior Scuba Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required, but you can try it first through the Discover Scuba® Diving program.
